For the past few months we’ve been offering Yoga Sunday’s at 10am and many of you have been participating regularly. I’m happy to introduce you to Kristin Osborn, who will be leading the program going forward. Please join me in welcoming her and be sure to try out the class. Also, based on demand we may add additional class times, so please let us know what you think!
Kristin has a degree in Communications from the University of Illinois and was drawn to yoga and meditation as an antidote for adjusting to city living. Moving to Chicago with a suitcase seeking adventure, diversity, and culture she secured a job downtown and took on the city and everything it had to offer. Falling into the “work hard & party harder” lifestyle she hit a point where she knew her health was suffering and there had to be a better way to find a balance in her life. Athletics had always been an outlet, provided friends, and sense of community so she took a few Bikram classes for fun. That rolled into the discovery of vinyasa style yoga and she knew it would be something she’d continue to practice for the rest of her life.
In the fall of 2011 she completed a 200 teacher training in under Jessica Carlin at The Chicago school of Yoga and 100 hour training at Core Power spring 2013. Forever a curious student she enjoys trying all types of yoga (Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Pranayama.) Now she seeks to share her journey in order to help others discover their truest expression! Expect humor, high energy, and maybe a few dance moves! A firm believer that proper alignment will encourage knowledge of energy awareness and congestion she offers many variations so students of all levels can feel safe and get what they need. Come to the mat and become more body aware, present, and connected. Off the mat she enjoys crafting, dancing, grilling, and a delicious glass of wine.
