An 8-week intensive program designed to build the skills and confidence necessary to take on the Spartan Race obstacle course.
Back for the 2018 Season!
Spartan SGX @ The Foundry is a CrossFit Endurance-based approach to building aerobic capacity and training obstacle fundamentals. This program will help you develop new skills and well as improve your running technique. Whether it’s your first Spartan, or you’re a veteran, Foundry Spartan SGX will help you perform your best on race day!
Program Details:
- Participants: 16 (expected to run Spartan Race)
- Starts: April 28, 2017
- Duration: 8 weeks (including one week for taper)
- Frequency: 3 workouts per week
- Schedule:
- Tuesday and Thursday 5:30pm
- Saturday from 7:30- 9:00am
- Race:
- Super (8-10 miles): Saturday June 23, 2018
- Sprint (3-5 miles): Sunday June 24, 2018

Meet Your Coaches
Jeff Arias – Program Lead / Obstacle Race Specialist
Coach Jeff’s intensity to make you better is legendary and holds every certification known to man. Some even say that he once coached Chuck Norris, and is solely responsible for training his roundhouse kick that is so fast it can reverse the rotation of the Earth. Coach Jeff holds a Crossfit Level 1,000 certification and has been coaching since before he was born. In addition, he has competed in multiple obstacle races around the United States.

Adrian Bilyk – Running Coach
Coach Adrian is a former Navy Officer and an Ironman athlete. He likes to wear his sunglasses at night and is so tough he once gave up coffee for an entire month. Fortunately for everyone, he started drinking it again. He has completed multiple marathons and triathlons, including an Ironman.
